Well, Christmas is almost here so let me wish you all a very Merry Christmas. This week’s blog looks at interesting articles that take us into the world of articulated 3D printed parts as well as a touching video of a big-hearted handicapped puppy dog.
If you read my blog often then you know I am a big fan of the Instructables website. Hence, this article is on their website. The How to Create 3D Printable Articulated Sculptures article is a great Instructable because it teaches you how to fish rather than just giving you a fish to eat. Or in other words, it shows you a process to create articulated designs of the subjects that you choose rather than just giving you an articulated file to print!
My next choice in articles is Printable Scenery Brings 3D Printing to Tabletop Gaming and It’s Amazing. This particular article is a look at the castle and war gaming trend brought to life with 3D printing. I like this article not in the exact subject matter but the implications for the model railroad hobby enthusiast who might find printing his/her own scale parts for scenes a fun project.
Finally, my last pick is a good-hearted look at an article that will leave you feeling good. This link is a story of Derby the dog and his struggle from birth with deformed front paws and legs. Make sure to watch the video!!
That is all for this week. I hope these articles leave you feeling the season’s spirit and I wish you Happy Holidays and happy printing!
